What attracted me to be a consultant in the travel industry more than 25 years ago? I love creating experiences!
The world that is out there can teach us so much — from the history of a region to meeting new people and learning about their culture — and being able to give my clients that experience is why I continue to do what I do. I love to help turn my client’s dream vacation into a reality, like putting all the pieces to the puzzle together. With my professional expertise, I assist my clients with various types of avenues of travel — flights, cruises, accommodations — and the messy bits in-between, such as, how do I get to the hotel or ship? Based on my client’s wants, I will also suggest a tour, or if they heard about a certain restaurant, I will make the reservation for them. I love to put a personal spin on everything I do for my clients!
I embarked on this journey as a consultant and evolved to the owner-manager of Destinations By Design. As a Certified Travel Consultant, I take pride in the relationships I build with my clients, and they place their trust in me, knowing that I will be there for them every step of the way.
My love of cruising has placed me on more than 50 ocean and river cruises — from small to large ships. I have travelled to all continents, except the Antarctic and Australia — so far! As a luxury cruise specialist, as well as a Europe specialist, I have organized and escorted adventures for many groups — as small as 12 and up to 300 people — from family reunions to destination weddings, even the “Girlfriend Getaway to Italy.” I will make sure your travel experience is personalized and right for you!
From the moment you reach out to me, I will help present you with options that match your dream vacation and suits your travel lifestyle. Once you have picked your destination, I will plan your personal adventure itinerary, ensuring that you have all the paperwork and documentation required for your travel. I will be with you from the moment we start the planning until you walk back through your front door and ready to plan your next journey!
